David Darnell Brown (born 15 March 1981), better known by his stage name Young Buck, is an American rapper, record producer, actor and entrepreneur. Buck began his career when he signed to Cash Money Records in 1995, but never released anything while on the label. After leaving Cash Money in late 2000, Buck signed to UTP Records and joined the group UTP. In 2002, he left the label to sign with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records and became a member of G-Unit.

Young Buck made several appearances on G-Unit's debut album, Beg for Mercy, and also appeared on 50 Cent's debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin', both in 2003. The following year, Buck released his debut studio album, Straight Outta Cashville, to positive reviews and commercial success. Three years later, he released his second album, Buck the World, to equal success as his debut. Some time later, Buck was dismissed from G-Unit for multiple reasons, and was engaged in a beef with 50 Cent and his associates.

In 2014, Young Buck appeared at a concert alongside the other members of G-Unit. It was later confirmed that the group had reformed. In May 2015, Buck announced the release of his book, Behind the Walls, which will feature his behind-the-scenes stories with G-Unit.
