This Is an EP Release is an EP and the second release by American hip hop group Digital Underground, released in 1991 on Tommy Boy Records. The songs "Tie the Knot" and "Same Song" were featured in the film Nothing but Trouble. "Tie the Knot" is a comedic rendition of "Bridal Chorus", and "Same Song" contains improvised organ sections throughout the song, making it one of the first hip hop singles to successfully integrate live instrumentation with music samples. Tupac Shakur made his debut record appearance on the latter song, and portrayed an African king in the music video. Shakur can also be heard on "The Way We Swing (Remix)" as a background vocalist, adding humourous ad-libs between the verses.
