The Big Picture is the second and final studio album by American rapper Big L, released in 2000 on Rawkus Records and Flamboyant Entertainment. The album was slated for a 1999 release, but it was delayed due to Big L's murder in early 1999. Recording sessions for the album primarily took place at D&D Studios in New York City during 1997 to 1998. The album was produced by DJ Premier, Ron Browz, Ron G, Lord Finesse, Pete Rock, Shomari, Mike Heron, Ysae and Showbiz and features vocal appearances from Fat Joe, Guru, A.G., Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Sadat X, O.C., and Remy Maas well as a posthumous verse by Tupac Shakur. The album features the popular single "Ebonics" (which was the last single released while Big L was alive). A music video was made for the song "Holdin' It Down".
The album peaked at #13 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It sold 72,549 copies in the first week of sales. The Big Picture received generally positive reviews from music critics.
