Richard Martin Lloyd Walters (born 14 January 1965), better known by his stage name Slick Rick, is a Grammy-nominated English rapper. He began his hip hop music career in 1982, where he recorded a series of acclaimed recordings such as "La Di Da Di" and "Children's Story". He is known for the use of narrative in his raps and has been called "hip hop's greatest storyteller".

Slick Rick rose to stardom in an era known to fans as the Golden Era age of hip hop. His music has been frequently sampled and referenced by other artists such as Black Star, The Notorious B.I.G. and Snoop Dogg, with many of these songs becoming hit singles.
