Runaway Slave is the debut studio album by American hip hop duo Showbiz & A.G.. It was released on September 22, 1992 through Payday Records and London Records. Recording sessions took place at Jazzy Jay's Recording Studios in Bronx, New York City from May 1991 to February 1992. Production was handled by Showbiz and Diamond D. It features guest appearances by Big L, Deshawn, Lord Finesse, Dres (of Black Sheep) and Diamond D. It also includes many interludes between songs that features The Legion, Fat Joe, Kid Capri and Freddie Foxxx.
The album peaked at #78 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Runaway Slave released the two singles: "Fat Pockets" and "Bounce ta This" (which both songs peaked at #8 and #15 on the Hot Rap Singles chart respectively). Runaway Slave was a highly praised underground release, but didn't sell strong numbers.
