Simone Gooden (born 2 July 1970), better known by her stage name Monie Love, is an English rapper and radio personality now living in the United States. After beginning her career in London, she first came to prominence as a protégé of Queen Latifah, as well as her membership in the alternative hip hop collective Native Tongues. Love was one of the first British hip hop artists to be signed and distributed worldwide by a major record label.

Love made her first prominent appearances in the late 1980s on Queen Latifah's Grammy Award-winning and pro-woman single "Ladies First", Jungle Brothers' well-received single "Doin' Our Own Dang" and De La Soul's hit single "Buddy". The acclaim led her to a recording contract with Warner Bros. Records, and she released her debut album, Down to Earth, in 1990. The album spawned two Grammy-nominated hits, "Monie in the Middle" and "It's a Shame (My Sister)". She released her second album, In a Word or 2, in 1993, which featured the Prince-produced single "Born to B.R.E.E.D." that peaked at #1 on the Hot Dance Music Chart. Love's last release as lead artist was the single "Slice of da Pie" in 2000.

Love began her radio hosting career in 2004 on Philadelphia's WPHI-FM 100.3, where she hosted the morning drive slot for two years. She has a radio show on XM Satellite Radio called Ladies First Radio with Monie Love, and hosts Monie in the Morning on the Philadelphia-based radio station Boom 107.9.
