Lords of the Underground is an American hip hop group from Newark, New Jersey. DJ Lord Jazz and rappers Mr. Funke and Doitall formed the group in 1990 while the three were undergraduates at Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The group released their debut album, Here Come the Lords, in 1993 with production handled by Marley Marl and K-Def. The album featured five charting singles, including their signature song "Chief Rocka". Lords of the Underground released their second album, Keepers of the Funk, the following year, which was able to match the success of its predecessor in terms of sales.

After a five year hiatus, Lords of the Underground reutnred in 1999 with the album Resurrection, released via Queen Latifah's Jersey Kidz label. The group's latest album, House of Lords, was released in 2007, but both that and Resurrection failed to match the success of their two first albums. The group still perform shows, and DoItAll and DJ Lord Jazz have released solo albums in the 2010s.
