Labcabincalifornia is the second album by American hip hop group The Pharcyde, released in 1995 on Delicious Vinyl. The album's production was primarily handled by members of The Pharcyde and Jay Dee, with additional production work by Diamond D and M-Walk.
Overall, the album is a more mellow and introspective affair than their debut and features more somber themes, such as dealing with fame and success, drug abuse, and broken down relationships. The album is perhaps best remembered for the songs "Runnin'" and "Drop", which both performed well on various Billboard charts.
Labcabincalifornia peaked at #37 on the Billboard 200, and #17 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. The album received mediocre reviews from critics. Sales compared to their debut album Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde did also not fare as well, and the group was unable to reach Gold status. It is the last album released by The Pharcyde as a quartet, as Fatlip would depart the group a short time after the release of this album.
