Illa J is the second studio album by American rapper Illa J, released in 2015 on Bastard Jazz Recordings. After permanently moving to Montreal in 2014, Illa J left Los Angeles-based Delicious Vinyl and signed to Bastard Jazz, making this album his first for the label. Produced entirely by Canadian production duo Potatohead People, it is also the first Illa J studio album to feature original production work, as his 2008 debut album, Yancey Boys, and 2013 collaboration album with Frank Nitt, Sunset Blvd., featured unreleased beats produced by Illa J's late brother J Dilla. Canadian rapper Moka Only makes four appearances on the album, while Norwegian rapper Ivan Ave and singer a l l i e feature on one song each.
Illa J was released to positive reviews but did not achieve much commercial success. It did not reach any Billboard charts. A music video was made for the single "Universe".
