Andres Titus, better known by his stage name Dres, is an American rapper. He is the lead rapper of the alternative hip hop duo Black Sheep, which he formed in 1989 with Mista Lawnge. On their 1991 debut album A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing, Dres has a smooth rhyme flow, with a dose of light humour. His style became more serious with the release of the duo's 1994 album, Non-Fiction. The group split up after the release of the album and started independent projects.
In 1999, Dres released a solo album titled Sure Shot Redemption. In 2000, Black Sheep reunited and recorded the EP Redlight, Greenlight. They went on to release the albums 8WM/Novakane (2006) and Black Pool of Genius (2010).
His most recent project was a collaboration with A Tribe Called Quest member Jarobi White in a duo called Evitan. They released the album Speed of Life in 2012.
