Dogg Food is the debut studio album by American hip hop duo Tha Dogg Pound. It was released on October 31, 1995 through Death Row Records and Interscope Records. Recording sessions took place at Can-Am Recorders and Dr. Dre's Crib in Los Angeles, California from August 1994 to March 1995. Production was primarily handled by Daz Dillinger, with additional production by Dr. Dre, Dave "Swang" Knight, DJ Pooh, Overdose and Emanuel Dean. It includes guest appearances by Snoop Dogg, Mr. Malik (of Illegal), Michel'le, Nate Dogg, The Lady of Rage and Big Tray Deee.
On November 18, 1995, The album peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, #21 on the Top Heatseekers and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Dogg Food released the two singles: "Let's Play House" and "New York, New York". The album is one of the last high-selling and critically acclaimed releases from the label.
