Dingilizwe Dumile Thompson (August 3, 1973 - April 23, 1993), better known by his stage name DJ Subroc, was an American DJ, record producer and rapper from Long Island, New York. Thompson formed KMD with his older brother Zev Love X, and released the album Mr. Hood in 1991. Although production was credited to the group, Thompson served as its sole producer with the exception of two tracks.

Death[]

While working on the group's second album, Black Bastards, Thompson was hit by a car while attempting to cross the Long Island Expressway on 23 April 1993. Soon after, KMD was dropped from Elektra Records, bringing production and the release of the album to a halt. Thompson's death had a profound effect on his brother, who disappeared from the hip hop scene for four years before reemerging under the stage name MF DOOM.
