Controversy is the debut studio album by American rapper Willie D (credited as Willie Dee), released in 1989 on Rap-A-Lot Records. Controversy is produced by fellow Geto Boys members DJ Ready Red and Prince Johnny C, Rap-A-Lot founder Lil' J and Geto Boys producer Doug King. The album is credited as "featuring The Ghetto Boys", although the group (an early incarnation consisting of The Sire Jukebox, Prince Johnny C and DJ Ready Red) only appear on one song. Other guest appearances are supplied by Lil' J and Choice

The album peaked at #53 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
