Controversy is the debut studio album by American rapper Willie D (credited as Willie Dee), released in 1989 on Rap-A-Lot Records. Controversy is produced by fellow Geto Boys members DJ Ready Red and Prince Johnny C, Rap-A-Lot founder Lil' J, and Geto Boys producer Doug King. The album is credited as "featuring The Ghetto Boys", although the group (an early incarnation consisting of The Sire Jukebox, Prince Johnny C and DJ Ready Red) only appear on one song. Other guest appearances are supplied by Lil' J and Choice

The album peaked at #53 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
