John Edward Hawkins (15 November 1969 - 1 May 2006), better known by his stage names Big Hawk and H.A.W.K., was an American rapper from Houston, Texas and a founding member of the Screwed Up Click. He began rapping in 1992 when his younger brother Patrick "Fat Pat" Hawkins took him to the house of DJ Screw, an upcoming mixtape producer and DJ in the southern area of Houston. Hawk formed the group Dead End Alliance with Fat Pat, DJ Screw and Kay-K, and the group released their only album, Screwed for Life, in 1998.

After the deaths of Fat Pat and Screwed Up Click leader DJ Screw, and the incarcerations of many of the other group members, he was the main person responsible for keeping the Screwed Up Click alive. He released numerous solo albums, and also collaborated with Lil' Keke for the 2004 album PR Wreckin' 2004. On 1 May 2006, Hawkins was shot to death outside of 12127 Redfern Drive, Houston, Texas by an unknown assailant. He had gone to a friend's house to play dominoes, but the house was empty. Hawkins went to the side of the house where the gunman shot him several times. Police were unable to find any witnesses who actually saw the shooting, and their only lead was a white compact vehicle leaving the area soon after the shooting. He was murdered eight years after his younger brother Fat Pat, who was also killed by an unknown assailant.
