Between a Rock and a Hard Place is the debut studio album by American hip hop duo Artifacts. It was released on October 25, 1994 through Big Beat Records and Atlantic Records. Recording sessions took place at Soundtrack Studios and Chung King Studios in New York City from July 1993 to March 1994. Production was handled by T-Ray, Drew, Buckwild and Redman, with co-production from Rockwilder and the Artifacts themselves. It features guest appearances from Jay Burns Jaya and Busta Rhymes.
The album peaked at #137 on the Billboard 200 chart, #2 on the Heatseekers Albums chart, and #17 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Between a Rock and a Hard Place released the singles: "Wrong Side of Da Tracks", "C'mon Wit Da Git Down" and "Dynamite Soul"
