Charles Andre Glenn (born 1967), better known by his stage name Afrika Islam, is an American hip hop DJ and record producer from New York. He was the first hip hop DJ to have his own hip hop radio show, which was Zulu Beats on WHBI 105.9 FM in 1981.

He began his musical career in 1977 at ten-years-old when he joined the Rock Steady Crew. He started as an apprentice to Afrika Bambaataa, from whom he learned the art of remixing songs.

Sometime in the 1980s, he moved to Los Angeles, where he began working with Ice-T, for whom he produced four gold albums. He went on to remix artists including Michael Jackson and New Order. Since 1996, he has been producing predominantly electronic music and has released several EPs.
